Description

The global fast fashion industry, known for rapid production cycles and low-cost, trendy clothing, has come under criticism due to its environmental and social impacts. As consumer demand for affordable fashion grows, so do negative consequences, including high levels of textile waste, excessive water usage, and carbon emissions. The exploitation of labor in developing countries raises ethical concerns about workers' rights and fair wages. In response to these challenges, there is a growing shift towards sustainable practices within the industry. Companies are exploring eco-friendly materials, reducing waste through circular fashion models, and committing to fair labor standards. These changes reflect a broader recognition of the need for a more responsible and environmentally conscious approach to fashion that balances style, affordability, and sustainability.

Global Impacts and Sustainable Practices in Fast Fashion examines the importance of sustainable practices in small businesses and the fashion industry, and how to effectively manage these processes. It also provides insights into the challenges faced by small businesses in adopting and implementing sustainability, as well as strategies for overcoming sustainability challenges. This book covers topics such as consumption, global business, and waste management, and is a useful resource for government officials, policymakers, business owners, academicians, and researchers.
