Abstract

The fashion industry wields substantial influence over human life's economic, social, and environmental spheres. It is one of the most crucial industries that society needs because it contains one of the basic needs of a human. Not only could it affect the individuals, but it also affects the surroundings such as the economy and the social relationships with others. With an increasing emphasis on environmental preservation, consumers prioritize companies committed to sustainability. However, many companies claiming sustainability fall short of these ideals. Many tried to appear sustainable yet do not reach their goals because of either their approach or not being transparent enough. This study analyzes Patagonia's successful sustainability model by employing extensive literature reviews. The research uncovers the primary reasons for these shortcomings, highlighting the significance of responsible material choices and transparent communication with consumers as pivotal factors in the success of sustainability programs.
