Abstract
In the modern world, radicalization is a serious danger to societal cohesion, global security, and fundamental human rights, making it one of the most contentious issues. Its subtle effects could affect different groups, leading to the rise of radical beliefs and violent crimes that jeopardize the foundation of a democratic society. The UK has become a leader in the fight against radicalization due to its unwavering pursuit of security and resilience. It employs a variety of strategic approaches to stop the spread of extremist ideologies and shield its citizens from the dangers of violent extremism (VE). In this context this research aims to identify the rising threat of extremism in UK and understand how global trends of violent extremism are affecting the security in UK. At the same time, this research is also conducted to analyze the counter violent extremism (CVE) approaches/measures of UK to mitigate the threat of rising violent extremism in the country. Finally. this research would recommend how to minimize the gaps in the existing CVE approaches in UK.
