Evaluating User Vulnerabilities: A Study on Social Media Privacy and Security Threats
Abstract
This research aims to evaluate user vulnerabilities concerning privacy and security threats on social media platforms. The study focuses on identifying how user behavior, awareness, and platform policies contribute to potential security risks. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data on users' privacy practices, security awareness, and experiences with social media threats. Advanced statistical analysis, including regression and clustering techniques, is used to analyze the data, identifying key factors that influence user vulnerabilities. The findings reveal significant gaps in user knowledge and behavior regarding privacy settings and the effectiveness of platform security measures. Interpretation of results emphasizes the need for enhanced user education, improved content moderation, and stronger regulatory frameworks to mitigate risks.
