Abstract

Expectations and structural changes in the business world have caused changes in education systems, curriculum, and methods and techniques used. As stated above, the 21st century skills that we frequently hear today cannot be said to be very new in terms of the skills they cover. For example, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration skills were frequently heard and prominent skills in the past. What makes these skills different from past to present is that the content of these skills has changed. While critical thinking skills were seen as a skill transferred to individuals in the past, in the definition of critical thinking defined within the 21st century skills, the paths to critical thinking are more important. In other words, nowadays, ways of knowing how to think critically are more important than knowing how to think critically.
