Abstract

The work aims to characterize and analyze the economic policy of healthcare development in Georgia and, in particular, the policy of digitalization of healthcare. The healthcare system in Georgia has been characterized as a mixture of Bismarck and Beveridge models, with the government's universal healthcare program recently expanding, the goal of which is to increase the affordability of health services for the population. The work describes the goals, tools, institutions, and problems of Georgia's development policy and digitalization of healthcare. In conclusion, the authors consider those areas that should be maximally strengthened in the policy for digitalizing healthcare in Georgia to achieve the goals successfully.
