Abstract
This chapter investigates Taobao practices, specifically the strategies that Taobao has developed to solve more operational management challenges with the essence of technological innovation and digital transformation. It showcases their commitment to innovative technologies like AI, data analytics, and blockchain to optimize platform efficiency, security, and user experience. Core strategies have included data analytics for real-time personal recommendations, inventory management, and market forecasting, all part of delivering benefits regarding user engagement and operational efficiency. This chapter emphasizes the necessity of strong data security, encryption, and regular security assessments so that organizations have control over their data and the ability to protect it from breaching and follow privacy regulations. Additionally, it discusses the critical role of third-party partners and supply chain security management in maintaining data integrity and user trust.
