Strategic Human Resource Management and Environmental Governance: Analyzing the Chinese New-Energy Automotive Market
Abstract
This study examines the influence of recruitment, selection, and training activities on Tesla's organizational performance within the Chinese new-energy vehicle (NEV) market, while identifying challenges in implementing strategic human resource management (SHRM) practices. Through a combination of literature review and a questionnaire survey using snowball sampling, Tesla employees shared their perceptions and recommendations regarding these HR activities. The findings reveal that clear job postings, diverse recruitment channels, efficient selection processes, and well-structured training programs significantly enhance organizational performance. Additionally, the study connects HRM practices with organizational culture, market context, and employee competencies to offer comprehensive recommendations. By integrating HRM strategies with environmental governance, this research provides a valuable reference for industry practitioners in the NEV sector, offering insights on optimizing HR practices to foster sustainable growth and improved performance.
