Abstract

This study aims at identifying the implemented changes and prospects for addressing the issues regarding workforce adaptation and the role of AI, automation, and digital transformation in human aspects. This chapter explores some of the pertinent topics that include cognitive load, motivation, technostress, and differences in generations in relation to technologies. The chapter focuses on the changes in the roles and skills, new roles, the need for new skills, and the significance of lifelong learning. Also, it considers the adoptions of a new working model that is the hybrid model of work and ethical considerations in relation to automation, job loss, and privacy. The chapter outlines approaches for employees, and policymakers to effectively manage these shifts and support the development of a resilient and adaptable workforce amid rapid technological change.
