Combining Hospitality and Retail: Innovative Strategies in the Modern Hotel Industry
Abstract
The convergence of hospitality and retail has emerged as a transformative strategy in the modern hotel industry, enhancing guest experiences while creating new revenue streams. This study explores the integration of retail spaces within hotels, analyzing its impact on customer satisfaction, financial performance. Data from guest surveys, sales records, and hotel management insights reveal that retail integration significantly improves guest satisfaction, increasing average scores from 7.2 to 8.5. Financially, hotels with retail spaces reported a 140% rise in monthly revenue, demonstrating the profitability of this model. Key success factors include strategic retail placement, curated product offerings, and seamless technology-driven shopping experiences. This research highlights the growing importance hospitality-retail models in sustaining competitive advantage, emphasizing the need for innovative service design and guest-centric retail strategies in the evolving hospitality.
