Abstract

This chapter explains the role of mathematics in curricula in engineering and the role of AI tools in education for future engineers. Described is how, through the use of machine learning and adaptive learning technologies, AI-based platforms manage real-time learning with students of different proficiency levels. It illustrates the utilization of artificial intelligence to maintain the spirit of mathematics together with practical engineering issues. As a result, it is employed to illustrate how such a technology may enhance today's engineering practice with important aspects of cognition, problem-solving, and analysis. This approach introduces artificial intelligence-generated modelling, computer-based testing, and intelligent teaching systems that make a learner reach a particular standard of comprehending concepts in mathematics. It discusses the potential and challenges of incorporating AI-based tools into engineering education to adapt to technological advancements.
