Abstract

As businesses place increasing importance on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, the use of data and information technologies is becoming a key tool in strengthening these strategies. This study examines how students perceive the application of data and business intelligence (BI) tools in ESG policies. For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed and evaluated for its reliability and validity. Based on the analysis results, it became evident that most students believe that leveraging data enhances transparency, reliability, and better decision-making. However, some concerns were also expressed regarding data quality, how the data is used, and the complexity of ESG-related concepts. The research concludes that it is important for universities to incorporate relevant courses into their curricula, so that students are better prepared for the challenges of modern, sustainable business practices.
