Dr. Vishnu D. Rajput is working as Principal Scientist at Southern Federal University, Russia. Dr. Rajput has an exceptional academic background in Agriculture and Biological Sciences, and received a distinction in both his B.Sc. Ag and M.Sc. Ag degrees from CS Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, India, which laid the foundation for an illustrious career. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, he pursued a PhD at the esteemed Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, and further honed his expertise through a Post-doc at Southern Federal University, Russia. Dr. Rajput focuses on the study of soil contamination, specifically with potentially toxic elements and metallic nanoparticles. His research delves into the intricate web of bioaccumulation, bio/geo-transformations, uptake, translocation, and the toxic repercussions of metallic nanoparticles on various facets of plant physiology. Dr. Rajput's studies span from the macroscopic aspects of plant morphology to the microscopic intricacies of cellular and subcellular organelles, including cytomorphometric alterations and DNA damage. Recently, he is working on bioengineering soil rhizospheric microbiome. Dr Rajput has contributed significantly to the realm of environmental science, shining a spotlight on the intricate interactions between nanoparticles, heavy metals, plants, soil, and microbial communities and offering valuable insights into the broader ecosystem. He has an impressive record of 500+ scientific publications, including 375 peer-reviewed (indexed in Scopus), highly rated full-length articles, 30 enlightening books, and 101 chapters. He has also presented his findings in 55 conference articles. Recognized on an international scale for his profound expertise and contributions, Dr. Rajput has evaluated 250 manuscripts for esteemed journals and received outstanding reviewing certificates from prestigious publishers like Elsevier and Springer. He serves on the editorial boards of various high-impact journals, contributing to the advancement of academic discourse in his field. Moreover, Dr. Rajput has received the “Certificate for Appreciation 2019” and the “Certificate of Honor 2020” from Southern Federal University, Russia, in acknowledgment of his outstanding contributions to academia and creative research. He has also been recognized as a “Highly Qualified Specialist” by SFedU and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, a testament to his exceptional expertise and achievements.
