Abstract
The aim of this chapter is to improve accessibility for students with disabilities by extensively examining the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in altering special education. The chapter begins with a review of the challenges faced by students with disabilities and highlights the critical need for individualized and flexible learning strategies. It then gives the reader an overview of assistive technologies as they are now, emphasizing their inherent drawbacks and laying the groundwork for future research into AI as a powerful tool to solve them. The chapter demonstrates AI-supported techniques and collaborative technologies that promote an inclusive classroom environment via the perspective of inclusive learning environments. The discussion about the application of AI in special education provides useful insights, highlighting the significance of cooperation between educators, technologists.In order to envisage future developments in AI technology and their possible effects on law and policy, the chapter concludes with a look at current patterns and future directions.
