Abstract
While AI tools are widely used by students as sources of scholastic information, their emotional and psychosocial impacts remain less explored. This chapter examines how interactions with AI algorithms foster emotional bonds with students, offering insights into future human-AI interactions. It focuses on students' experiences and emotional attachments to AI tools. Using a phenomenological research design, data were collected from 20 college students who met defined inclusion criteria. Findings reveal that students use AI not only for academic purposes but also for emotional support. Some participants reported feeling uplifted, satisfied, and secure when interacting with AI rather than with humans. The chapter concludes that AI tools can be integrated into the teaching-learning process as holistic resources, providing academic assistance while also serving as sources of motivation, entertainment, and emotional well-being. The chapter recommends the development of appropriate school policies and guidance on the responsible use of AI tools in education.
