Abstract
This chapter discusses the changing terrain of university entrepreneurial ecosystems in India and their significance in the actualization of Vision Viksit Bharat 2047. It condenses theoretical abstractions (the Triple, Quadruple and Quintuple Helix, among others) and insights from best practices seen in innovative nations, such as Silicon Valley (US) and Israel. The chapter also examines how India's premier institutions, urban and regional alike, have instituted innovation hubs, incubators and enabling policies while stressing the need to customize global models for India's socio-economic, cultural and policy context.
