Strategic Mentoring for Enhanced Staff Development in Transnational Higher Education
Abstract
Mentoring has been recognized as a valuable tool for professional development, fostering growth and enhancing performance among educators and administrative staff in higher education. However, in the context of transnational higher education, mentoring takes on an even greater significance due to the diverse and often dispersed nature of the workforce. The complexities of working across different cultural, linguistic, and regulatory environments require tailored mentoring approaches that address these unique challenges. This paper seeks to delve into the intricacies of mentoring, examining efficacy and potential for improvement. The focus will be on traditional mentor-mentee relationships where experience is transferred from senior to junior staff members in transnational higher education institutions.
