Strategic Leadership: Effect on Employee Performance With Mediation of Dynamic Capabilities in Case of Ethiopian Public Organizations
Abstract
This inquiry investigates the associations among leader strategic capacity, capabilities to induce dynamics, and performance of employees in Ethiopian government firms. Using a quantitative approach and a sample of 390 participants, the investigation analyzes how leader strategic capacity influences performance of employees directly and indirectly through capabilities to induce dynamics. Employing statistical techniques such as Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measures, exploratory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling with AMOS software, the outcomes reveal that leader strategic capacity imperatively augments capabilities to induce dynamics, which in turn positively influences the performance of employees. The direct influence of leader strategic capacity on performance is substantial, while capabilities to induce dynamics serve as a vital mediator. This investigation contributes to the literature by emphasizing the interconnectedness of these constructs and highlighting the worth of leadership in augmenting organizational skill.
