Abstract
This chapter presents a systematic review of recent literature on the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and training, following the PRISMA methodology. A total of 103 peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed, revealing both the growing interest in the pedagogical applications of AI and the deep ethical concerns associated with its use. The findings highlight major challenges, including algorithmic bias, lack of transparency in automated decision-making, threats to data privacy, and the absence of clear regulatory frameworks. The review also identifies key ethical principles proposed by international organizations and national strategies, emphasizing values such as transparency, justice, privacy, accountability, and human oversight. Based on the literature, the chapter outlines practical recommendations for institutions, including the creation of ethics committees, the development of institutional policies, the promotion of critical digital literacy, and the implementation of robust data protection measures.
