Oberto Soto Varela
is a distinguished educator and researcher specializing in educational technology and mathematics didactics. He earned his doctorate from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in 2017, with a dissertation titled “Realidad aumentada y secuencias didácticas como elementos de mejora en la educación matemática y la formación permanente del profesorado,” focusing on augmented reality and instructional sequences to enhance mathematics education and ongoing teacher training. His research primarily explores the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education, with a particular emphasis on augmented reality and its application in mathematics instruction. Dr. Soto Varela has contributed extensively to academic literature, authoring numerous articles and book chapters that delve into topics such as digital literacy, active learning methodologies, and the use of educational robotics to enhance language learning.
