Abstract
This chapter explores the roles of families, communities, academic and digital literacies in students' transitions to higher education. It argues that the families, communities, academic and digital literacies have a vital role to play in ensuring seamless transitions into universities. While the chapter identities opportunities to leverage the combined agency of these domains, it also highlights challenges, including poverty, under-access to resources, and a strong need for communal organisation.
