AI-Driven Market Growth: A Case of African SMEs
Abstract
Entrepreneurship is widely regarded as a crucial driver of economic development and poverty reduction in Africa. The Agenda 2063, adopted by the African Union in 201,3 provides a framework for the socio-economic transformation of Africa. The framework acknowledges that through this transformation, poverty can be eradicated. This chapter premised on published data on artificial intelligences' (AI) impact on business operations and examined through the lens of the resource-based view theoretical framework offers insights into how AI can enhance the performance of African SMEs and ultimately aid the realisation of agenda 2063.
