Addressing Work Place Bullying in Digital Age: A Micro, Macro, and Mezzo Perspectives
Abstract
As technology advances, workplace bullying continues to be a pervasive issue that impacts individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. This paper comprehensively analyzes workplace bullying through micro, mezzo, and macro perspectives. The micro level focuses on individual interventions, exploring how employees—victims and perpetrators—can be supported through counseling, emotional intelligence training, and resilience-building efforts. The mezzo level investigates organizational policies, leadership roles, and workplace culture, emphasizing the importance of strong anti-bullying policies, inclusive practices, and effective conflict resolution mechanisms. At the macro level, the paper examines the role of legal frameworks, cultural norms, and global standards in shaping workplace practices, focusing on public health implications and international collaboration. By integrating these perspectives, the paper highlights how workplace bullying is not just an individual or organizational issue but a systemic problem requiring coordinated efforts at all levels.
