Abstract
Human brain activity manifests as cognitive functions as attention and visual perception. The brain's “gate for information flow” is attention, which can be selective or persistent. Visual perception is linked to spatial frequency, motion direction, and orientation. Despite distracting inputs, directed perception helps detect, discriminate, and comprehend task stimuli. These two roles are crucial to human growth; hence, scientists and psychologists are studying them further. A popular topic is electroencephalography (EEG). This systematic review examines the trend in EEG-based attention and visual perception studies in humans, focusing on EEG system dependability.
