Revolutionizing Surgical Precision: The Intersection of Advanced CT Imaging, AI Integration, and Personalized Approaches
Abstract
The combination of high-end Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing surgical accuracy and individualized treatment planning. This chapter discusses how such technological innovations improve diagnostic confidence, refine surgical planning, and maximize patient outcomes. The development of CT imaging, from initial uses through high-definition and dual-energy imaging, has led to extremely refined anatomical renderings. Paired with AI-driven analysis and predictive modeling, these innovations enable real-time decision-making, individualized surgical intervention, and improved post-operative rehabilitation planning. Further, the application of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) for surgical planning introduces new dimensions of preoperative visualization and intraoperative navigation. Despite these advances, constraints related to radiation exposure, economic feasibility, regulatory limitations, and the need for specialized training persist.
