Abstract
Native plants, when to new environments, establish themselves rapidly and spread aggressively, often to the detriment of local ecosystems. Their ability to outcompete native flora and alter habitat structure can have profound effects on biodiversity, ecosystem functions, and ecological processes. Understanding the impacts on preserving ecological balance. Definition and Characteristics of Invasive Plants: characterized by their high growth rates, prolific reproduction, and adaptability to various environmental conditions. Unlike native species that have evolved specific relationships with local fauna and flora, invasive plants often lack natural predators or controls in their new environments, allowing them to proliferate unchecked. Key characteristics of invasive plants include vigorous growth, high seed production, and the ability to outcompete native species for resources.
