Educational Applications of AI in Music Production Curricula
Abstract
AI is increasingly transforming music production education by enhancing how students learn, create, and collaborate. This chapter explores how AI tools such as Magenta Studio, AIVA, Soundful, and LANDR support composition, mixing, mastering, and sound design, helping democratize access to advanced production techniques. It examines how educators integrate AI into curricula to develop creativity, technical skills, and critical listening while maintaining a balance between human artistry and algorithmic assistance. The chapter also reviews case studies, teaching methods, ethical issues, and curriculum strategies to ensure AI innovation supports artistic integrity and prepares students for future careers in the music industry.
