Description
The music production landscape is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by rapid advancements and the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Once the domain of human creativity and technical expertise, every stage of music creation, from composition and sound design to mixing, mastering, and distribution, is now being augmented, and in some cases redefined, by intelligent systems. This shift calls for a deeper understanding of how AI is reshaping traditional workflows, expanding creative possibilities, and introducing new challenges. Despite the rapid emergence of AI tools and research, there remains a clear need for a cohesive, interdisciplinary perspective that synthesizes these developments, examines their practical applications, and critically considers their broader implications for the music industry, intellectual property, and artistic expression.
Artificial Intelligence in Music Production: Innovations, Practices, and Industry Implications offers an in-depth exploration of the transformative role of AI in music production. This book provides a foundational understanding of key AI technologies relevant to music creation and audio engineering, highlights emerging innovations, and examines their broader industry implications. By bringing these elements together, it supports informed discussion, encourages critical engagement, and helps stakeholders navigate the evolving intersection of AI, the arts, and music. Covering topics such as industry disruption, home music production, and personalized pop songs, this book is a fundamental academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, music producers, audio engineers, sound designers, A&R personnel, label managers, and more.
