Abstract
This chapter analyzes the application background and technological characteristics of different cooling and lubrication methods for grinding in the context of green manufacturing. Secondly, advantages of cryogenic minimum quantity lubrication (CMQL) technology as well as characteristics and application performances of different cryogenic media are analyzed. Finally, some key problems are proposed, such as influencing laws of low temperature on physical properties and atomizing effect of lubricants in CMQL technology, dynamic mechanism of film forming by cryogenic droplet clusters and heat transfer mechanism of flowing liquid film in the grinding zone.
