Abstract

As technological advancements rapidly evolve, they present both opportunities and challenges for environmental governance. Despite the significant promise of technology in enhancing environmental governance, gaps remain in understanding its effective implementation. This study addresses these gaps through a systematic literature review to elucidate how technology can be effectively utilized to advance environmental governance, overcome current challenges, and promote transformative change. This study employs a systematic literature review methodology, analyzing a broad range of academic sources including journals, conference proceedings, and reports. The review will follow rigorous search strategies and transparent inclusion/exclusion criteria to ensure a representative sample. Thematic analysis is applied to identify key trends, knowledge gaps, and emerging frameworks, providing a comprehensive understanding of tech-enabled environmental governance.
