Abstract
This study addresses the merits, cons, and ethics of huge language models and AI in academic writing and research. The chapter examined how these technologies may damage scholarly integrity. Its key values include controlled AI use in academia (unlike unscrupulous laypersons) and the potential erosion of faculty and administrative trust in students who employ AI for this purpose. It believes human researchers should explicitly define outstanding knowledge. It then describes how plagiarism and AI are affecting academia and mentions some organizations reacting. Analysis also emphasizes campus academic integrity. These exercises promote student honesty. They also aim to eliminate academic integrity violations annually. Enhancing student collaboration, educating them about plagiarism and cheating, and proactively identifying transgressions are promising techniques. It also highlights Chitkara University's plagiarism prevention and academic integrity procedures, highlighting the need of strict limitations, teamwork, and education in constructing a just society.
