Description
Members of diasporic populations often have a unique, dual persona consisting of one’s migrant role as a permanent or transient member of a new country and one’s role as a citizen of one’s home country. Like all diaspora, the African diaspora is further composed of sub-groups of people of a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, such that there is a need for studies that properly encompass and address the African diaspora across a multitude of fields and pedagogies, including architecture, education, and business.

Uche Onyebadi (Ed.)
Uche Onyebadi is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Journalism Department in the Bob Schieffer College of Communication, Texas Christian University, USA. He also served as the Director of the School of Journalism, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, USA (2014-2016). Onyebadi holds a doctoral degree in journalism, with specialization in political communication, from the University of Missouri, Columbia- Missouri, USA. His research interests include political communication, media and politics, mass communication theory, media ethics, and international communication.
