As institutions strive to meet the needs of increasingly diverse student populations, there is a pressing need for inclusive, adaptable, and data-informed assessment practices. Covering topics such as academic integrity, mobile assessment, and portfolio assessment, this book is an excellent resource for higher education faculty and administrators, assessment coordinators, institutional researchers, educational developers, graduate students, educational consultants, and more.
Reviews and Testimonials
This handbook uniquely positions assessment at the intersection of three emerging domains: AI technology, inclusive design, and competency-based education. While existing literature addresses these separately, we provide integrated frameworks for implementation. Our developmental approach to assessment—treating learning as continuous growth rather than fixed endpoints—and emphasis on student agency represent forward-thinking methodologies increasingly essential for future educational contexts.
