Description

As global temperatures rise and climate-related disasters become more frequent, world governments are under increasing pressure to implement strategies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote sustainable development, and protect vulnerable populations. Effective policies that are evidence-based, adaptable, and internationally coordinated also engage in the public and private sectors. By aligning environmental goals with economic incentives and societal needs, policymakers may drive transformative change and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

Designing Effective Public Policies to Address Global Warming explores the design of public policies shaping the future of global warming strategies and solutions. It examines the implementation of global, regional, and local practices for effective climate change mitigation and sustainable urban governance. This book covers topics such as climate change, public sector management, and carbon regulation, and is a useful resource for business owners, policymakers, government officials, climatologists, academicians, researchers, and environmental scientists.
