Abstract

The physical property evolutionary laws of atomized droplets of CAMQL are analyzed in this chapter. Firstly, the quantitative mapping relations of CA temperature with temperature, kinematic viscosity, and surface tension coefficient of the lubricant are established. Secondly, the influencing laws of CAMQL parameters on droplet size and contact angle are disclosed. The maximum droplet size (155.566μm) and contact angle (33.5°) are achieved at the lowest CA temperature (-50°C). At the maximum air pressure (0.5MPa), the taper angle and speed are 34.6° and 12.24m/s, respectively. Finally, grinding performances of Titanium alloy under CAMQL conditions are analyzed. The normal force, tangential force, specific grinding energy, friction coefficient, temperature, and surface roughness (Ra) in CAMQL decrease by 47.6%, 44.3%, 45.1%, 19.8%, 43.9%, and 46.3% compared to those in dry grinding, respectively.
