Abstract

E-business is changing quickly, pushed by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), enabling new efficiencies and growth. With this evolution, however, comes lingering ethical and legal vulnerabilities specifically at the level of consumer privacy and security. As personalised experiences are developed, AI and ML algorithms must focus on breaking down silos, which will inadvertently expose greater amounts of sensitive information that is susceptible to cyberattacks or pathway into a data breach or fraud. This chapter comprehensively explores the concerns of consumer privacy-security in era of digital disruption with AI and ML in the ethical and legal implications of e-business transformation.
