Revolutionizing Retail: Enhancing Customer Experiences With the Metaverse
Abstract
This chapter investigates how the metaverse has affected the retail sector profoundly. It explores how immersive interactive experiences are being created from traditional shopping through the use of technologies like virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR). Retailers can engage customers in novel and exciting ways, improving their overall experience by providing virtual stores and personalized environments. The chapter describes how the metaverse has developed in the retail industry and provides examples of creative business concepts and profitable endeavors. It also examines how customer behavior is evolving in virtual environments and emphasizes the advantages of incorporating metaverse components into traditional retail procedures.
