Abstract

This paper has taken the key concepts taken from Riege and Andreas’ (2005) work to construct a questionnaire that was used within the drug development department of a large multi-national pharmaceutical organisation. The questionnaire assesses the department’s culture to sharing knowledge which will aid in the development and deployment of a new Knowledge Management Decision Capturing Tool. The overall aim of the research is to increase the chance of the tool succeeding within the organisation by better understanding the cultural issues. This paper details how the questionnaire was formulated, analyses the results and draws conclusions form what can be learnt from such research projects.
