Description
The International Journal of Socially Responsible and Sustainable Healthcare (IJSRSH) is intended to be a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability concepts applied to the healthcare context. It is a multi-disciplinary, multi-functional, and multi-contextual scholarly (and practitioner) forum for exchanging the latest research and advances on all aspects related to CSR and sustainability in healthcare. Such concepts involve integrating social and environmental concerns into business operations and stakeholder interactions. There is a growing emphasis on CSR and sustainability across all sectors of the economy, including healthcare. To implement socially responsible and sustainable health systems, CSR and sustainability play an essential role from a strategical, tactical and operational perspective. In such sectors, specific initiatives are being undertaken in three key areas: environmental, economic, and social. This allows health systems to contribute to reducing the industry's carbon footprint, implementing sustainable waste management practices, promoting energy efficiency, ensuring equitable access to healthcare services, promoting fair pricing and affordability, fostering inclusive and diverse workplaces, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction, and actively supporting local communities through philanthropic initiatives.
