DescriptionIntelligent information technologies are being used by a large number of organizations for improving productivity in many roles such as assistants to human operators and autonomous decision-making components of complex systems. While a number of intelligent applications have been developed in various domains, there are still a number of research issues that have to be explored in terms of their design, implementation, integration, and deployment over the Internet or a corporate Intranet.

MissionThe advent of the World Wide Web has sparked renewed interest in the area of intelligent information technologies. There is a growing interest in developing intelligent technologies that enable users to accomplish complex tasks in web-centric environments with relative ease, utilizing such technologies as intelligent agents, distributed computing in heterogeneous environments, and computer supported collaborative work. The mission of the International Journal of Intelligent Information Technologies (IJIIT) is to bring together researchers in related fields such as information systems, distributed AI, intelligent agents, and collaborative work, to explore and discuss various aspects of design and development of intelligent technologies. This journal provides a forum for academics and practitioners to explore research issues related to not only the design, implementation and deployment of intelligent systems and technologies, but also economic issues and organizational impact. Papers related to all aspects of intelligent systems including theoretical work on agent and multi-agent systems as well as case studies offering insights into agent-based problem solving with empirical or simulation based evidence are welcome.

Testimonials and Reviews“The International Journal on Intelligent Information Technologies is a much needed publication outlet for research on important and emerging issues in the design and deployment of intelligent systems! This new journal promises to fill an existing gap in the field and will promote interdisciplinary research.”
- Sudha Ram, University of Arizona, USA
“Finally, software tools have caught up with theory. This enables researchers to create true value in practice by rigorously implementing the many promising methodologies on intelligent systems that have evolved over the last decades. The International Journal of Intelligent Information Technologies is at the center of this development, providing insights into how to do it right.”
- Chris S. Langdon, USC Marshall School of Business, USA
