Use of E-Learning, Distance Learning, and Simulation-Based Learning in Pharmaceutical Education: Effectiveness, Comparison, and Applications
Abstract
E-learning, distance learning, and simulation-based learning are key tools in pharmacy education, offering flexible and practical learning experiences. The integration of new technological tools enhances these methods by providing interactive and personalized opportunities. Unlike traditional teaching methods, e-learning and distance learning offer benefits such as accessibility, flexible scheduling, and individualized learning, though they may lack interactivity and can lead to isolation. Simulation-based learning offers realistic practice scenarios and interactive experiences, allowing for mistakes without real consequences, but it can be costly and limited in scope. These methods can be customized for pharmacy curricula to address specific knowledge and skills, catering to individual needs. Effective use of technological tools in these methods can significantly enrich learning and improve academic and practical outcomes for students.
