Tides of Change: Building Resilient Coastal Communities in the Face of Climate Change
Abstract
Coastal communities worldwide are increasingly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, including rising sea levels, intensified storms, coastal erosion, and saltwater intrusion. These challenges threaten livelihoods, public health, and overall safety, necessitating the adoption of innovative and sustainable practices to enhance resilience. Four transformative strategies including biogas production, algae-based fertilizers, hydroponics, and community gardens together, empower coastal populations to address environmental challenges while promoting long-term sustainability. The findings highlight the potential of sustainable practices to transform coastal communities into resilient, economically stable, and ecologically sustainable hubs, paving the way for a thriving future despite the increasing challenges of climate change.
