The Role of Educational Developers in AI Integration at Scale
Abstract
This chapter highlights how AI is reshaping higher education, with educational developers playing a key role in guiding this transition. As AI transforms curriculum design and teaching methods, developers support faculty in adopting tools like personalized learning paths, intelligent tutoring, and automated assessments while ensuring alignment with learning outcomes. They bridge pedagogy and technology, lead institutional AI strategies, and promote inclusive, ethical practices. Developers also assist in shaping policies that address bias, privacy, and transparency in AI use. Through collaboration and innovation, they help institutions implement scalable, responsible AI solutions. This chapter showcases real-world examples and strategies for fostering resilient, AI-integrated education systems that empower both educators and students.
