Abstract

Culture, geography, and tourism are interrelated and mutually influential concepts. Geographical factors play a significant role in determining tourism destinations, the emergence of different types of tourism, and the sustainability of tourism activities, while cultural elements create important attractions that capture tourists' interest and encourage them to visit. Culture influences the geographical characteristics of a region and the lifestyle of its society, while geography shapes the cultural heritage of a community. Therefore, the relationship between culture, geography, and tourism is complex and multifaceted, serving as crucial factors to consider in the planning and management of tourism activities. Cultural elements, which provide significant economic resources, should be evaluated within the scope of tourism, and tourism policies should be formulated considering these elements in an integrated manner, within the framework of conservation and utilization balance, and evaluated in terms of sustainability.
