The Pillars of AI Ethics: Transparency, Accountability, and Privacy
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are advancing at a rapid pace, which has created many potential and benefits for a variety of industries. But there are also moral questions about the creation and application of AI systems due to their growing autonomy and complexity. This study examines the fundamentals of AI ethics with an emphasis on privacy, responsibility, and openness as the cornerstones that uphold moral AI practices in order to allay these worries. Making AI systems comprehensible and explicable to users and stakeholders is emphasised by transparency. It entails giving concise descriptions of the decision-making procedures, data sources, and potential biases of AI systems. Contrarily, accountability describes the obligations of people and institutions engaged in the creation and application of AI systems. It entails making certain that AI systems are applied in a just, fair, and responsible way and that individuals in charge of their creation and application be held accountable for any unfavourable effects.
