Abstract
Healthcare professions face shifts in job roles, requiring reskilling in data literacy and robotics. Financially, organizations must navigate the costs of technology adoption and workforce training while balancing automation with human labor to preserve empathy in patient care. Legal, ethical, and sociocultural impacts also arise, from liability ambiguities to potential algorithmic biases and reduced human contact. This chapter explores these multifaceted dynamics, advocating for a balanced approach where automation augments, rather than replaces, human judgment and underscores the need for regulatory frameworks that ensure fairness, accountability, and the preservation of quality care. By harmonizing technological progress with human-centered values, the healthcare sector can responsibly advance in the automated age.
