Task Diagram
Abstract
This chapter discusses the use of task diagrams as a key tool in Applied Cognitive Task Analysis (ACTA) within educational settings, divided into two sections. The first, "Task Diagrams for Electronic Training for Professional Development," explains how task diagrams break down complex tasks into manageable components, optimizing the design of electronic training programs. These diagrams visually represent cognitive processes, helping to address challenges and enhance professional development. The second section, "Task Diagrams for Designing Microlearning Pedagogical Practices," shows how task diagrams aid in developing microlearning strategies in higher education, offering insights into structuring content, personalizing learning, and aligning pedagogy with educational goals. Together, these sections demonstrate how task diagrams streamline the design process and improve educational outcomes.
