Sustainable Data Governance Implementing Energy-Efficient Data Lifecycle Management in Enterprise Systems
Abstract
As organizations increasingly rely on data to drive business decisions, the need for sustainable data governance has become more pressing. Traditional data lifecycle management practices often lead to inefficiencies, increased storage costs, and environmental impact. This paper explores the integration of energy-efficient strategies within data lifecycle management to foster sustainability in enterprise systems. By focusing on the implementation of sustainable data governance frameworks, the study examines energy-efficient data storage, optimized data processing, and the role of machine learning and automation in reducing the carbon footprint of data operations. The research highlights key approaches to achieving both operational efficiency and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations while minimizing resource usage. Sustainable data governance not only aligns with corporate social responsibility goals but also promotes long-term business growth by reducing operational costs and supporting sustainable development practices.
