Research-Based Practices for Educational Banking Leadership and Management: The Case of the Namibian Banking Sector
Abstract
This literature-based study explores leadership practices in the Namibian banking sector, addressing challenges like outdated leadership models and ineffective training. Findings highlight the need for transformational leadership, competency-based training, and collaborative models to enhance leadership effectiveness and employee engagement. The study concludes that banks must shift from traditional methods to research-driven, technology-supported strategies. Recommendations include mentorship programs, structured feedback mechanisms, and policies to support continuous development and diversity in leadership. Future research should focus on the long-term impact of these strategies on employee retention and financial performance.
