Probability and Statistics
Abstract
This chapter contains two parts. The first part is devoted to probability and the second part discusses briefly the statistics for finite sample spaces. First, we define the basic concepts and definitions of probability, then we introduce conditional probability. We discuss several applicable examples and talk more about applications of probability in different fields. The second part contains the concepts and materials of statistics such as Mathematical averages, which are arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means, and Positional averages, which are median and mode. It has been tried to explain about them such that the readers understand the relationship between the model and the corresponding real-world problem.
